My grandfather, an old gentleman with white hair and eyebrows, is the person I admire most. He was born in 1925, to a poor family in Hunan, China. He was the only son of a couple of farmers, and he had two younger sisters.
My grandfather had a hard and deprived time when he was young. Because his parents had no money to support him for school, he had to audit outside the classroom quietly, at the same time, he helped with some farm work and looked after his sisters at home.
During World War II, My grandfather left his family and joined the army. Although it was dangerous at that time, he continued study in a little spare time. Finally, he became a headmaster of a high school in the army, and also he taught some officers.
The reason for my grandfather’s success was that he worked hard, and no matter how tough it was, he never lost the faith on studying. It is worthy of my using for reference. I am inspired whenever I remind the hard time of my grandfather. Now we live in a better life that we have a chance to study abroad, the most difficult is to overcome the strangeness both in study and life. Then we can enjoy our study here.

Your grandfather sounds like an amzing person and a great role model for his children, grandchildren and others. This exemplifies how valuable education is and how we must all try and make it accessible to everyone. I don't think education should be only for the rich, do you?
